ORIGINALLY RELEASED ON THE LEGENDARY LAW & AUDER RECORDS IN 2019, WHO HAVE KINDLY DONATED SOME COPIES TO PINGDISCS FOR A MINI RE-RELEASE 3 YEARS LATER!
Back in 2019 Igloo Magazine said:
"A mind-bending traverse through the braindance genre of yesteryear with a flare for left-field audio collages."
The sonic adventures herein contained express the worlds, emotions, weather conditions, landscapes, physical challenges and incredible environments that Myoptik encountered during his epic 485 mile solo cycle ride right through the south coast of England, from the Eastern-most major port of Dover in phosphorus Kent to the Western-most major port of Plymouth in creamy Devon, across 6 madcap long days in the summer of 2017. It was a completely unsupported trip which Myoptik carried out to raise awareness of, and funds for, Touched Music and Macmillan Cancer Support. The adventure led to an extra £500 of sales for Touched Music, all of which went to that vital cause. Along the way there was much hilarity via the numerous and much-shared Facebook posts, pictures and videos that he broadcast live throughout the wonky and wild adventure. Touched Music posted a compilation of the videos on YouTube soon after.
When listening to the album hopefully you will be taken on a windswept adventure that shares something in common with Myoptik the intrepid cyclist, but without the agony and strain of having to climb endless hills into gale-force winds, whilst half-blind, on a bicycle that weighs more than 12 stone - total travelling weight was in excess of 24 stone throughout, on account of the ridiculous content within the massive, swollen panniers that were attached on either side of the velo, slightly unsteadied by the joyous liquids which were continually consumed to propel the wabby legs. At one point, half-way through the voyage, it took 3 strong men to lift and lower the bike into the tiny foot ferry near Bournemouth. Thankfully the ferry to the Isle Of Wight had a ramp, so the feat did not need to be repeated, however hills regularly appeared and were thus tackled. The ferry rides were but brief respites for the cycling adventure, as was the continual intake of liquid, and the magnificent ever-changing views and landscapes. This album is a sonic window into that ever-moving world. Overall, please do enjoy the sounds and the journeys they take you on when you listen, it is an aquatic adventure by land, if there was ever such a thing. It is likely to make the hair stand on end and the feet cry out for motion.

All tracks written, performed, manipulated, swept, trimmed and produced by Myoptik during 2017, except Shanghai which is from 2007 and features Cello by Fran Andre as well as clips of short vocal ramblings by her, Jon, Francis and Myoptik. The same personnel also appear subliminally in Chellotimus Interludinous, which is another cut-up segue that Myoptik created in 2007. These two vignettes fit the mood of the wider album, hence their inclusion. Overall the vast majority of the material for the album was created live in one take, with the odd use of dustpan and brush in post-production. The album was then mastered by Loz Grover in 2018.

Myoptik has been making mad music
since the 90s. A lifetime of jams, collaborations & live performances inform his refreshing, sometimes obtuse, take on electronic sound. His releases for many labels, inc his own Ping-Discs, reflect some of the more harnessed offerings that have spewed out of his refracted sound-world.
